REPAIR AND RESTORE

Sports/Remedial Massage Therapy is for both sports and non sports persons alike.

My treatments work on improving the quality of soft tissue within the body. This helps to correct imbalances built up through injuries, training and everyday activities, allowing for greater freedom of movement and a better quality of life.

Sports/Remedial massage therapy which can help you recover from injury, train better, be used as a preventative treatment or to help improve health/wellbeing is available at the RSPT studio where I carry out all treatments myself.

All treatments with me will include a full postural analysis with range of motion and special function tests, followed by a combination of massage techniques,

myofascial cupping, if necessary, as well as stretches/corrective exercises.

ACUPUNCTURE

acupuncture.jpg

Acupuncture is a treatment derived from ancient Chinese medicine. Fine needles are inserted at certain sites in the body for therapeutic or preventative purposes.

Acupuncture is often seen as a form of complementary or alternative medicine.

Western medical acupuncture is the use of acupuncture following a medical diagnosis. It involves stimulating sensory nerves under the skin and in the muscles.

This results in the body producing natural substances, such as pain-relieving endorphins. It's likely that these naturally released substances are responsible for the beneficial effects experienced with acupuncture.

A course of acupuncture usually creates longer lasting pain relief than when a single treatment is used.

Traditional acupuncture is based on the belief that an energy, or "life force", flows through the body in channels called meridians. This life force is known as Qi (pronounced "chee").

Case-controlled clinical studies have shown that acupuncture has been an effective treatment for the following diseases, symptoms or conditions:

  • Allergic rhinitis (including hay fever)

  • Golfers Elbow

  • Headache

  • Knee pain

  • Low back pain

  • Musculoskeletal Pain

  • Neck pain

  • Periarthritis of shoulder

  • Rheumatoid arthritis

  • Sciatica

  • Sprain

  • Tennis elbow

  • and much more

Allow up to 40 minutes per treatment. Treatments available for £42
